Eco-Wellness Centre Location: Carp, Ontario Project Cost: $1,300,000 Completion: Concept completed Fall 2010 Prime Consultant: CH2 Architecture Inc. The project is comprised of five buildings made of log and heavy timber frame construction. All buildings are designed with renewable energy solutions, including: solar, cross ventilation, geothermal, compost and waste water alternatives, and the use of environmentally sound construction materials and reusable resources. The buildings will be designed in keeping of natural systems such as the sun, wind, rain and snow and be designed for ease of drainage and shading. The Centre provides a Naturopathic Health Clinic, Healing House and Learning Centre, and the expansion will include retreat buildings for guests to stay as well as a daycare/pre-school. |
